# Static IP for DhanHQ API

Add a dedicated Fixedmark IP on Dhan Web under Get Trading & Data APIs, and plan around the 7-day wait before a whitelisted IP can change.

## Before you start

- Use a dedicated pair. Pro and above give you two IPv4 addresses no other customer uses. The 7-day trial and Starter share their pair with other customers, and a broker such as [Zerodha](https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/general-kite/kite-api/articles/static-ip) takes a static IP only for your own use or your immediate family's, so do not register a shared pair with a broker.
- Order the pair in Mumbai, nearest the exchanges, and copy both addresses from the dashboard.
- Send your orders through the proxy URL, so they leave from the addresses you register. Check with [verify egress IP](https://fixedmark.com/docs/verify-egress-ip).
- Each broker decides what it accepts. Confirm with your broker that a dedicated cloud IP meets its rules before you depend on it.

## Dhan's rules

## Register your IPs with Dhan

1. Log in to web.dhan.co.
2. Click Profile.
3. Select Get Trading & Data APIs.
4. Scroll down and click Add IP.
5. Enter your Fixedmark IP and save.
