Static IP for Kotak Neo Trade API

Whitelist a dedicated Fixedmark IPv4 pair as the primary and secondary IP of a Kotak Neo Trade API application, changeable once every 7 days.

Docs preview: Fixedmark is not live yet. Endpoints are issued at launch, and these pages describe planned launch behavior. Anything marked planned may change. Join early access to get yours first.

Before you start

  • Use a dedicated pair. Pro and above give you two IPv4 addresses no other customer uses. The 7-day trial and Starter share their pair with other customers, and a broker such as Zerodha takes a static IP only for your own use or your immediate family's, so do not register a shared pair with a broker.
  • Order the pair in Mumbai, nearest the exchanges, and copy both addresses from the dashboard.
  • Send your orders through the proxy URL, so they leave from the addresses you register. Check with verify egress IP.
  • Each broker decides what it accepts. Confirm with your broker that a dedicated cloud IP meets its rules before you depend on it.

Kotak Neo's rules

Kotak Neo static IP rules
RuleKotak Neo says
IPsTwo at most: a primary and a secondary. (source, read 2026-10-24)
Change limitOnce every 7 days. A new session is required after an IP change. (source, read 2026-10-24)

Register your IPs with Kotak Neo

  1. Log in to Kotak Neo, go to More, and open Trade API.
  2. Create an API application if you have none.
  3. Click Add IP and add your first Fixedmark IP as the Primary Static IP.
  4. From the application details page, add your second Fixedmark IP as the secondary.
  5. Start a new session from your Fixedmark IP before you send orders.

Steps from Kotak Neo's own page (source, read 2026-10-24). Menu names can change; follow the broker's page if they differ.

Good to know

  • Per Kotak Neo, IP validation applies to the order APIs (place, modify, and cancel), and the session must be created from the IP that sends the orders.
  • Per Kotak Neo, only IPv4 is supported for now. Fixedmark IPs are IPv4.
